What is it that makes us feel we are in love?

What actions do we take for someone we love?

Love is wanting to spend time together.

Love is getting to know and understand one another deeply.

Love is listening and caring about what is said.

Love is encouraging someone when they are down.

Love is being present and available when needed.

Love is being a comfort to another in times of pain and trouble.

Love is the desire to protect another from harm and things that threaten to hurt them.

Love is being willing to make sacrifices for the benefit of another.

Love is really knowing someone and loving who they are. 

Love is being supportive as someone works to be the best version of themselves.

Love is seeing the best in someone and being willing to forget the mistakes of the past.

Love is granting forgiveness.

All these ways and more is how God shows His great love for each of us.  The Bible says in Genesis 1:27 that we are made in God’s image.  Thinking that this has a meaning in physical terms is not correct.   God is spirit.  God is love.  Being able to show love the way God loves us, that is the model we want to live up to.  That is the image we were created to copy.  

Love God and love one another.  

This is what we were made for.
